Who are we?
The Projekt Eisvogel (Project Kingfisher) is a project in the NATURSCHUTZBUND
DEUTSCHLAND , Stadtverband Bielefeld:
Already at 1975
tow students of Biology , Volker Laske and Andreas Helbig, were
interested in the Kingfisher population. At the beginning they
only had scientific motives, but after a short time they decided
to protect and improve the Kingfisher population.
After 10 years of Kingfisher protection they came to the parting
of the ways and the NATURSCHUTZBUND DEUTSCHLAND, Stadtverband
Bielefeld took on the extra work.
1990 we (Till Lloyd and Peter Stertkamp) begun
our civil-service in the NABU Bielefeld, and decided to build up
a new Kingfisher project with more intensity.
So 1992 we started the "Projekt
Eisvogel".
1996 we attracted Alexander Karbouj, 1997
Edda Affeldt. They'll help us to manage the lots of things we do
in the meantime.
